With amazing synchronicity, on nearly the same day, Erin Nanasi of Minnesota and Karen Teegarden of Michigan both acted on an idea that many of us had been hoping for … a women’s march on Washington D.C. Erin chose the date of April 28th, 2012, made a video, wrote a blog post and then started a facebook page, “We Are Woman March on Washington DC” which has now been changed to Unite Against the War on Women: Washington, D.C. March. Karen started a facebook group, “Organizing against the war on women“, which has quickly grown to thousands of members and has added groups for each state.
