Why You’ll Love It
Director Wes Anderson has never designed a hotel. One look at Gild Hall, though, and we have to admit that’s hard to believe. Retro eclectic, safari meets the country club, vintage chic; however you describe it, the feeling Bill Murray’s about to round the corner is ever present at this boutique hotel.
Just blocks from Delmonico’s? Perfect. The Financial District teems with candy shops for adults: fancy cocktails, designer shopping, gourmet cuisine; it’s all here. And when you hear the callings of other neighborhoods, convenient transportation is right at your doorstep.
Nights in NYC can be, well … sleepless. So when it does come time to crash, you want a cocoon more than a bed. Gild gets this. After a night out, slip on your oversized terry cloth robe and crawl into a bed that really puts the “ohhhh” in cozy.
