Dutch Inventors Make Flying Car…
Published on Apr 1, 2012 by PalVco
This week the Dutch company PAL-V announced the first flights of its prototype “flying car”. This unique vehicle is called the PAL-V One, or the ‘Personal Air and Land Vehicle‘, and It marks the start of a new era.
On the ground the vehicle drives like a sports car. Within minutes its rotor is unfolded and its tail is extended: then it is ready to take off thanks to the advanced gyrocopter technology.
With these successful test results it is proven that it is not only possible to build a flying car but also that it can be done within existing international rules for both flying and driving.
Having passed this important milestone the company is now inviting investors to join them in creating the future.
The next step will be the design of the first commercial production model of the PAL-V, and first deliveries are expected in 2014.
For 100 years people have dreamed of a flying car, and many attempts have been made to realize this dream, but now it has truly become a reality.

The world’s largest Mig 25 RC Scale model airplane – the test flight…
Uploaded by xjet on Feb 18, 2011
This is the maiden flight of what is probably the largest jet-powered scale model of a Mig 25. At 4.2 meters long and weighing in at 42Kg, this is a huge model, skillfully test-flown by 18-year-old Clinton on the first day of the 2011 ANZAC jet rally in Tokoroa New Zealand.
Unfortunately, the second flight did not go as well — video of that is coming.

$79 for a One-Hour Introductory Flight Lesson from Freeway Airport in Bowie ($200 Value)…
Humans have longed to reach the stars for thousands of years, mostly to pay the aliens what we owe them for constructing the pyramids. Come closer to paying off interstellar debt with this Groupon: for $79, you get a one-hour introductory flight lesson, which includes 45 minutes of flight time, from Freeway Airport in Bowie (a $200 value).
For more than half a century, Freeway Airport’s certified flight school has launched new students skyward seven days a week under the guidance of its veteran instructors. A one-hourdiscovery flight begins at ground level amid tranquil surroundings as instructors provide an introduction to flight principles and instruments. As eyes soak in the pilot’s seat view, ears absorb instruction on use of the throttle, yoke, and rudder pedals. Once airborne, pupil-piloted aircrafts turn, climb, descend, and deliver top-secret dossiers to the lords of the cloud people.
Students may apply their flight time to the total time required to obtain an FAA-approved pilot’s license. For an additional $25 fee, one guest can tag along on introductory flights to provide a cappella renditions of “Danger Zone.”
